Parking facilities: There are no private parking facilities at this office. There is a multi-storey public car park next to this office with disabled parking spaces. The nearest drop kerb is approximately 50 metres from the office entrance.

Approach to Main Entrance: Assistance may be required. There is a barrier at the main entrance of this building which allows access to the car park with a service button which visitors can press to have the barrier lifted. The car park has 2 disabled visitor spaces which can be used to allow disabled access to the building. There is a pavement at either side of the barrier for visitors on foot. The barrier automatically opens on exit for wheelchairs.

Door Width: External and internal front doors are approximately 1.4 metre wide.

Approach to Reception Area: From the main entrance, there are 2 lifts to allow access to each floor. Our main reception area has a double door, one side of which is locked but can be opened if required.

Door Width: Door width is approximately 80cm but can be opened to approximately 1.4 metres as described above.

There is seating available in our reception area. Further seating can be provided on request. Please ask if you need extra assistance.

This office has arrangements in place with the police and HM Customs and Revenue to use their facilities located on the ground floor of the building to interview any disabled witnesses

Approach to Interview / Conference Rooms: It is recognised that a wheelchair user may have difficulty in accessing interview/conference rooms and as a result alternative arrangements as outlined above have been put in place if required.

Audible emergency alarms: one continuous loud ring

Our staff have a responsibility to ensure that they accompany any visitors during an emergency evacuation to the muster point designated in local Fire Evacuation Plans. Visitors must not be left unattended and should be accompanied at all times during an emergency evacuation until the all clear is given for re-entry to the building. Where appropriate a suitable emergency evacuation plan will be in place to ensure safe evacuation of disabled persons during an emergency situation.

Please advise the local Office Manager if you have any special requirements.
