NEW PAISLEY PROCURATOR FISCAL
Scott Pattison has been appointed as the new District Procurator Fiscal for Paisley by the Lord Advocate, Lord Boyd of Duncansby QC.
Mr Pattison will hold a commission for Paisley Sheriff Court district and will act as the personal representative of the Lord Advocate on a day-to-day basis. He will have local responsibility for the investigation and prosecution of crime and the investigation of sudden, suspicious and unexplained deaths in Paisley and will work closely with Argyll and Clyde Area Procurator Fiscal, John Watt, who has full management and budgetary responsibility for the Argyll and Clyde area.
Mr Pattison said:
"I am looking forward to working with the Area Procurator Fiscal and the staff at Paisley. I know that my predecessors have established strong working relationships with criminal justice partner agencies, and I look forward to building on these to ensure that we continue to deliver the modern prosecution service expected by communities throughout the area."
John Watt, Area Fiscal, said:

Biography
Scott Pattison (36) is married to Aileen, and has a 13-year-old daughter, Rachel. A graduate of Glasgow University he joined the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in 1993. He has worked within the Lanark and Hamilton fiscal offices. Subsequently he was part of the ECHR training group prior to stints in the Appeals and Policy Units at Crown Office.
Scott was appointed as the Divisional Procurator Fiscal in Glasgow 'C' Division in 2002, and most recently worked as the Head of Policy before taking up post in Paisley last month.
