KRISS DONALD VERDICT - GLASGOW PF STATEMENT
Following the verdict, Catherine Dyer, Area Procurator Fiscal for Glasgow said:
"Today's verdict brings to a conclusion an anxious and complex investigation and prosecution which lasted over 30 months.
"Following the convictions in 2004 of two other people involved in Kriss's abduction and murder, the Crown worked closely with the relevant UK and Pakistani authorities to arrange for the return of Faisal Mushtaq, Zeeshan Shahid, and Imran Shahid to face justice in the Scottish courts. In order to bring the accused to trial my team in Glasgow worked in close liaison with forensic experts, Strathclyde Police, Crown Office personnel, and Crown Counsel.
"Our thoughts remain with Kriss's family."
