September News Update

In addition to prosecuting crimes in District, Sheriff and High Courts, the Service is also involved in enquiries into sudden and suspicious deaths. ICL Factory Inquiry Announcement

The Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini QC and the Secretary of State for Work and pensions, Peter Hain MP, today announced their agreement that there should be a public inquiry into the tragic plastics factory explosion, which occurred in Glasgow on 11 May 2004. The full terms of reference and further details will be finalised in the coming weeks
