COPFS Business Plan 2009-10 [Report]

The COPFS business plan is our contribution to the National Performance Framework. Overlaying this is the Government’s Purpose “To focus Government and public services on creating a more successful country with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish, through increasing sustainable economic growth”. The work of COPFS sits largely within the “Safer and Stronger” objective and contributes to several of the national outcomes.

A Joint Agreement in Relation to the Cases of Children Jointly Reported to Procurator Fiscal and Children’s Reporter has been entered into between SCRA and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS). The Agreement sets out the scope, timescales and criteria for sharing information between COPFS and the Children’s Reporter. The purpose of the agreement is to ensure that appropriate support, information-exchange and consistent decision-making are in place for young people who offend.
