What's "Healthy Working Lives" all about?
In February 2007, the Healthy Working Lives (HWL) Award Programme was launched by Health Scotland. Building on the success of Scotland's Health at Work (SHAW) the programme encompasses a wide range of topics enabling organisations to select those that are most relevant to the workforce, including health promotion, occupational health and safety, health and the environment, mental health and well-being, community involvement and employability.
Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service
- Participation in the HWL initiative is a corporate aim of COPFS.
- A corporate HWL committee meets regularly to discuss and establish a centralised package of information to assist areas in achieving awards.
- Each area in COPFS has its own HWL committee.
