Area Diversity Teams - Introduction
Area Diversity Teams
What do they do?
Each of the Area Diversity Teams is involved in liaison with local communities and this work has been going on for many years. The full teams meet on a regular basis to plan and discuss ways of keeping up contacts with local communities. Many of the teams include representatives of the local Sheriff court, local community organisations, Regional Equality Council and police forces.
Our Equality Action Plans refer to this liaison work. The Area Diversity Teams can get advice and guidance, if necessary, from the Diversity Team at the Crown Office.
How is their work monitored?
Each of the Area Diversity Teams submits a 6 monthly report to senior management outlining the work or events that have been organised. We have included examples of area team events so that you can get the flavour of what has been going on in our Areas. These reports are available to all of the teams so that they can share information and learn from each other.
