Approach to Main Entrance: There are three steps up to the main doors. Alternatively you can access the building via the BACK of the Court Building where there is a permanent ramp and handrails. The doors are not automatic and open inwards.

Door Width: approximately 1 metre wide

Low level bell: Assistance can be requested by pressing the bell or by contacting reception prior to arrival. The bell connects you to the Sheriff Clerk's Office within the building.

Approach to Reception Area: Our reception is on the ground floor.

You can request further assistance by ringing the bell at the main entrance.

There is no seating available in our reception area. Seating can be provided on request. Please ask if you need extra assistance.

Approach to Interview / Conference Rooms: All interview rooms are on the ground floor although some assistance may be required to manage the internal doors.

Audible emergency alarms: Constant high pitched tone

Our staff have a responsibility to ensure that they accompany any visitors during an emergency evacuation to the muster point designated in local Fire Evacuation Plans. Visitors must not be left unattended and should be accompanied at all times during an emergency evacuation until the all clear is given for re-entry to the building. Where appropriate a suitable emergency evacuation plan will be in place to ensure safe evacuation of disabled persons during an emergency situation.
