Contravention of Section 27 of Road Traffic Act 1988 – Edinburgh (R012999)

Thank  you  for  your email request  dated  27  April  2016  under  the  Freedom  of  Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for the undernoted information:

Can you tell me how many people were reported to the Procurator Fiscal in Edinburgh during 2015 for Contraventions of the above Act, (namely Contravention of Section 27 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (failing to have a dog on a lead on a public road)), and how many people were convicted of that offence”

Firstly,  I  should  explain  that  the  Crown  Office  and  Procurator  Fiscal  Service’s  case management  database  is  a  live,  operating  database.   It  is  designed  to  meet  our business  needs  in  relation  to  the  processing  of  cases  and  the  information  within  it  is structured accordingly.

Having  conducted  enquiries  regarding  your  request,  I  have  established  that  the information  you  have  requested that there have been no reports submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in Edinburgh for this offence during 2015.
