“I would like to request answers to the following questions - they relate tothe Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.... specifically Part III: Control of Sex Shops.
Answers should relate to the last three calendar years, and clearly display a breakdown of totals for each year.

1. How many charges have arisen as a result of breaches in Sect.19 par.1 (a) and how many of these resulted in a conviction?
2. How many charges have arisen as a result of breaches in Sect.19 par.1 (e) and how many of these resulted in a conviction?
3. How many convicted persons were fined as outlined in Sect.19 par.3?”
Having completed a search of our electronic records, I can advise that in respect of part 1 of your request, no reports have been submitted to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) for the period you have requested, containing a contravention of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, Section 45, which is the Section of the Act encompassing Paragraph 19(1)(a) of Schedule 2. Accordingly, there is no data to consider in respect of conviction details.
In respect of part 2 of your request, given the responses in respect of convictions in relation to parts 1 and 2 of your request, there is no data to consider in respect of part 3 of your request.
