Freedom of Information: S 37 - Sexual Offences (Sc) Act 2009

Thank you for your request dated 8 January 2014 under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for the following information:

"How many reports have been sent to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service relating to children between the ages of 13 and 15 (inclusive) engaging in sexual conduct with each other? I understand any such cases (relating to consensual sex – not rape, sexual assault etc.) would be under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009, which came into effect on December 1, 2010. Please break down the information by year (so calendar years Dec' 2010 to Nov' 2011; Dec' 2011 to Nov' 2012; Dec' 2012 to Nov'2013; and Nov' 2013 to present). If possible, please also break down the information to detail whether the reports related to males or females. For each, please show whether or not the report resulted in prosecution and/or referral to children's reporter. For each prosecution, please also show whether or not the prosecution resulted in conviction."

We have now completed our search for the information you request, and a copy is provided at Annex A below.
