Freedom of Information: Self-Reporting – Bribery Act 2010
Thank you for your e-mail of 11 March 2014 under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) in which you seek the following information:
1. "How many companies have self-reported to Crown Office in accordance with the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal's guidance entitled: Guidance on the approach of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service to Reporting by Businesses of Bribery Offences?" and
2. "How many companies have enquired about self-reporting to Crown Office but not proceeded to do so?"
I have considered your request below.
1. I can advise you that two companies have self reported to COPFS under the Bribery Act 2010, both in 2012.
2. Since 2011 one company has enquired about self reporting to COPFS under the Bribery Act 2010 but did not proceed to do so.
