If you are a wheelchair user or have restricted mobility
Parking facilities: There is a designated disabled parking space which can be used on request. Road-side parking is subject to availability and local restrictions but can be also utilised. The nearest drop kerb is approximately 5 metres from the office entrance.
To request advice on parking for disabled drivers please contact the office.
Approach to Main Entrance: There are 3 steps up to the main entrance. Alternatively you can enter through the rear entrance. This entrance is easily spotted from the disabled parking area on the roadside. This entrance has a ramp and substantial handrail attached. Door Width: Approximately 77 cm
Low level bell: There is a bell at the rear entrance at low level height. Please use this bell to request assistance. Help may be needed to manage the door.
Approach to Reception Area: Our reception office is on the ground floor and is accessible at the end of the corridor on your left hand side. There are 3 swing doors to go through. Door Width: Approximately 87 cm
Low level counter: No
There is seating available in our reception area. Please ask if you need extra assistance.
Approach to Interview / Conference Rooms: The interview room is accessible from reception, on your immediate left hand side as you come through the rear entrance. Door Width: Approximately 87 cm
Audible emergency alarms: Constant Ringing
Our staff have a responsibility to ensure that they accompany any visitors during an emergency evacuation to the muster point designated in local Fire Evacuation Plans. Visitors must not be left unattended and should be accompanied at all times during an emergency evacuation until the all clear is given for re-entry to the building. Where appropriate a suitable emergency evacuation plan will be in place to ensure safe evacuation of disabled persons during an emergency situation.

If you have a visual impairment
Colour definition: There is no uses colour definition to indicate changes in floor levels, doors, steps/stairs and emergency signs.
Written documents: We will try to make information available in a suitable format to meet your particular needs. To request correspondence and/or documents in your preferred accessible format, please contact the office.
Our office welcomes guide dogs: The dog's comfort is your responsibility but we will provide a bowl of water on request.
If you have a hearing impairment
Hearing Aid Users: There is a mobile Hearing Induction Loop in the Sheriff Court that can be used if required.
Lip Readers: Our staff are issued with good-practice guidance and we will make efforts to provide adequate lighting in any interview space to suit your needs.
Access to Sign Language interpreter: If you need us to have an interpreter available, you must let us know as soon as possible, so that we have enough time to arrange this. Please contact our Office Manager.
Textphone users: You can access our services by calling through the RNID Typetalk service using the prefix 18001. There are no public textphones in this office.
Emergency alarms: There are currently no visual or personal alarm systems in this office. Please advise our staff of your needs.
Accessible toilet and comfort facilities
Public Toilets: Men and Women's toilets are available on the ground floor.
Wheelchair-accessible toilets: Unisex accessible toilets are available on the ground floor. A pull-cord is located in this toilet. Door Width: Approximately 90 cm
Access to refreshments: There are no public canteen or vending machine facilities in the building.
