Standards of Service for Victims & Witnesses – Annual Report

The Lord Advocate is required, along with the Chief Constable of Police Scotland, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS), the Scottish Prison Service and the Parole Board for Scotland, to publish standards of service for victims and witnesses each year and to publish an annual report in relation to the fulfilment of those standards of service.

COPFS' Process for Disaster Victim Identification

Following any sudden death in Scotland, an inquiry is launched to establish the cause of death and to formally identify the deceased.

The Stirling Procurator Fiscal’s office will close permanently from 14 May 2018.

The Falkirk Procurator Fiscal’s office will reopen for business from 14 May 2018.

Oban Procurator Fiscal's Office relocation

The Oban Procurator Fiscal's office will close on Friday, 23 February 2018.  From 26 February 2018 all business will transfer to Oban Sheriff Court.

Improving the criminal justice experience for sexual crime victims

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service and Rape Crisis Scotland to help improve the criminal justice system for sexual crime victims.
