Nat Fraser Appeal Refused

The Appeal Court today refused the appeal against conviction by Nat Fraser.

Nat Fraser was convicted in May 2012 of murdering his wife Arlene Fraser in Elgin in April 1998.

His conviction followed a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh. The appeal was heard at the Appeal Court in Edinburgh on 5 September 2013.

David Harvie, Director of Serious Casework at COPFSCrown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service , said:

"Today the Appeal Court upheld the conviction of Nat Fraser for the murder of his wife Arlene in 1998."

"The Crown is absolutely determined to ensure that criminals are brought to justice for crimes they have committed, no matter the passage of time or the legal complexities involved."
