We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst role requires the postholder to work as part of team to protect COPFS’ networks and sensitive information, based in our Crown Office (Edinburgh).
You should possess strong analytical skills and have good communication and interpersonal skills. We want someone who is detail orientated with a working knowledge of cybersecurity, including threat management, intrusion prevention and incident response. You will work collaboratively across teams within ISD to identify and correct any flaws in our security systems, create procedures for ISD employees to follow, and improve the overall security posture.
This is a new role which will give you the opportunity to use the latest security tools such as the Microsoft 365 Defender suite, you will have access to the National Cybersecurity Centre resources, all of which will support your ability to monitor and secure our cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures to Government security standards and Industry best practice.
You can expect to join a knowledgeable, passionate team, working mostly from home but who are regularly in communication with each other. Your initial training period will be spent with your Line Manager and members of the team whilst you learn the role. You will also have the chance to receive training directly from Microsoft and other external providers.
This is an exciting role which will allow you to develop your career within the Civil Service and equip you with the skills and experience within the Cybersecurity field which is now essential to all organisations.
