Cybersecurity Engineer [CSE0323]
About the Role:
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer who will work as part of team, providing subject matter expertise in protecting COPFS’ networks and sensitive information, based in our Crown Office (Edinburgh).
This new role will give you the opportunity to work with and develop your expertise in the latest security technologies, current and trending security standards including the Microsoft 365 E5 suite package. You will be supported by specialist internal teams, government and industry subject matter experts in developing your cybersecurity knowledge and skills to support an interesting and ambitious programme of projects and initiatives.
You should possess strong technical skills and have good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. You will work collaboratively across teams within our Information Services Division to build, develop and configure systems and tooling and processes to maintain and improve the overall security posture.
Although challenging, this is an enjoyable role where you will support colleagues in delivering transformational change. You can expect to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team with a positive ethos, working mostly from home but who are in regular communication. Your initial training period will be spent with your Line Manager and members of the team whilst you learn the role. COPFS will support your desire to learn and develop providing formal training directly from Microsoft and other external providers.
