This code of practice provides an agreed set of guidelines between COPFS, the Police Service of Scotland, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, the Law Society of Scotland and Scottish Legal Aid Board regarding provision of interpreters and translation in the Scottish criminal justice system.

The code sets out 'good practice guidelines' and seeks to contribute towards a co-ordinated approach across the main Scottish criminal justice organisations.
