Trafficker jailed after £2million worth of drugs found in home

A man whose home contained more than £2million worth of controlled drugs has been sentenced.

Police officers found the large haul of cocaine and heroin when they searched 44-year-old Paul Clark’s flat in Glasgow in February 2025.

They also recovered his phone which contained several images and messages associated with the supply of controlled drugs.

The search was carried out after Clark’s partner deposited a number of bags at Partick police office which were later found to contain 11 packages of cocaine.

Officers discovered keys to the flat and recovered a wallet and a driving licence in Clark’s name.

During the search, they found wrapped packages in a living area and bedroom alongside £3,805 in cash and a Cartier wristwatch.

Following analysis, the bags were found to contain cocaine with a street value of £1,697, 520 and heroin with a street value of approximately £430,440.

The cocaine had a purity of between 58% and 79%.

Messages on his phone appeared to show Clark and criminal associates arranging the collection and drop-off of drugs dating back to November 2024.

Clark’s DNA was found on two Dolphin-stamped blocks of cocaine.

Clark was imprisoned for five years at the High Court in Glasgow after he pleaded guilty to two charges of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Prosecutor Sineidin Corrins, of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), said:

“This was a coordinated effort to traffic significant quantities of illegal and harmful drugs through Scotland.

“Paul Clark is now serving a prison sentence having been brought to account for his crimes.

“With each case of this kind we can help reduce the harm that these drugs inflict on Scotland’s communities.”

Clark will now face confiscation action under Proceeds of Crime legislation to recover monies illegally obtained.
