James Jarvie, 63, from Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, was found guilty of subjecting the women to indecent remarks, inappropriate touching and groping.
He was further found to have seriously sexually assaulted one of the women in branches of the funeral directors where they worked.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court today, Jarvie was jailed for two years.
His name was added to the sex offenders register and he was made subject of 99-year non-harassment orders.
Prosecutors from the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) told the court how Jarvie’s behaviour was exposed when one victim reported him to the company bosses. A second victim then disclosed that he had been assaulting her too.
Fraser Gibson, COPFS Procurator Fiscal for Glasgow and Strathkelvin, said:
“James Jarvie exploited his position to sexually harass and assault the women while they were simply trying to do their job.
“Prosecutors were able to prove his criminality because the victims felt able to report their experiences.
“I hope these women find some comfort in Jarvie being held accountable for his offending. I would urge all victims of similar behaviour to report it; seek justice and the help you deserve.”
