If you are a wheelchair user or have restricted mobility Parking facilities: There are no private parking facilities at this office. There is a multi-storey public car park next to this office with disabled parking spaces. The nearest drop kerb is approximately 50 metres from the office entrance. To request advice about parking for disabled drivers please contact our reception. Approach to Main Entrance: Assistance may be required. There is a barrier at the main entrance of this building which allows access to the car park with a service button which visitors can press to have the barrier lifted. The car park has 2 disabled visitor spaces which can be used to allow disabled access to the building. There is a pavement at either side of the barrier for visitors on foot. The barrier automatically opens on exit for wheelchairs. Automatic external doors to main building: Door Width: External and internal front doors are approximately 1.4 metre wide. Approach to Reception Area: Our main reception area has a double door, one side of which is locked but can be opened if required. Door Width: approximately 80cm but can be opened to approximately 1.4 metres Low level counter: Yes There is seating available in our reception area. Please ask if you need extra assistance. Audible emergency alarms: one continuous loud ring Our staff have a responsibility to ensure that they accompany any visitors during an emergency evacuation to the muster point designated in local Fire Evacuation Plans. Visitors must not be left unattended and should be accompanied at all times during an emergency evacuation until the all clear is given for re-entry to the building. Where appropriate a suitable emergency evacuation plan will be in place to ensure safe evacuation of disabled persons during an emergency situation. If you have a visual impairment Colour definition: Where possible, our office uses colour definition to indicate changes in floor levels, doors, steps/stairs and emergency signs. Written documents: We will try to make information available in a suitable format to meet your particular needs. Our office welcomes guide dogs: The dog's comfort is your responsibility but we will provide a bowl of water on request. Lip Readers: Our staff are issued with good-practice guidance and we will make efforts to provide adequate lighting in any interview space to suit your needs. Access to Sign Language interpreter: If you need us to have an interpreter available, you must let us know as soon as possible, so that we have enough time to arrange this. Accessible lift system: The lift has illuminated floor level indicators. Emergency alarms: There are currently no visual or personal alarm systems in this office.
